WHAT friend......

What a friend we have in Jesus....all our sins and griefs to bear:
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.

Oh, what peace we often forfeit....Oh what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged...Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrow share?
Jesus knows our every weakness...take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious saviour, still our refuge.
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise....forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer....
In His arms He'll take and shield thee...thou wilt find a solace there!!!

Bless you...

You know what really worries me?

I do not like bad language, nor do I like blaspheming.

I have found over the years, that a lot of Christians have told me they will go to clubs and bars...to... "In their own words" set a good example of how a Christian should behave.

(Well, in my opinion a Christian should not be in a bar or club on a regular basis to begin with, but....)
Then I ask..."Why is it....that Christians will follow a non Christian and behave like one...."just to fit in" but it is hardly ever the other way around?
I was "out" with a non christian a while ago.....he swears like a trooper, and just by default, all because I was with this person, every one around us "assumed" that I would use the same kind of language this person used.....

Now, I have asked my close friends please not to use bad language, and mostly they comply, but I can't ask everybody, especially if they are not as close as close friends.

To come back to those who "do" go to clubs and bars on a regular basis, mostly I find they become luke warm Christians and then stay away from church all together...so...whatever excuse they used....it does not work!

And that really worries me!

Bless you....

hhmmmm....what do I call this????

I do not approve of "beauty contests" as such......
I am sure there are lots of parents today, who do not agree with the way their children, and mainly daughters dress!

Keeping in mind that this is totally my own private opinion this is how I see it!
My parents instilled in my sisters and I a standard of modesty which first of all glorifies the God we serve, and also shows the respect we have for ourselves, avoids defrauding the men of all ages around them and protects them from lustful predators. I am very respectful of my parents because they have adopted that standard in their daily attire as well as their bathing attire.

Why is that important? As always, we should first turn to the standard our Creator has given us: "Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness" (1 Timothy 2:10).

Let me pause and clarify that I do not believe that this standard requires women to be completely covered from chin to toe with formless sacks, nor that makeup is prohibited, nor that tasteful jewelry and hairstyles are inappropriate. There is little more truly beautiful than a woman who takes what God gave her and with dignity and class prepares herself with appropriate style – including a proper amount of the above "improvements" – without going to extremes in either direction.

most parents will agree that there is a serious breakdown of modest dress in both young men and young women. Just go to any mall – or unfortunately to many church youth group meetings – and you will see more skin than is necessary. Some parents I know, hesitate to take their sons to beaches and public pools because they will certainly be exposed to breasts and behinds of women young and old who for a variety of reasons should "cover it up."

If the husbands and fathers who led a standard of godliness, virtue and modesty in our homes and were training up our children that flaunting our bodies degrades the true beauty of who they are in spirit, mind, soul – and body – this culture of lust would dramatically decrease.
It is so important for the husband and father to have the correct role in the family!

And besides it is much more important for girls and women to look feminine in decent attire, then having the need to do it half naked!

God Bless you

Giving when it counts! and........

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl called Liz.

She was suffering from a rare and serious disease, and her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5 year old younger brother.
He had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the anti-bodies she needed to fight the illness.
Now, the doctor had explained the situation to her little brother, but at 5 years of age, he had not understood what the doctor had explained.
The doctor had asked would he be willing to give his blood to his sister?

The doctor saw him hesitate...just for a moment, before taking a deep breath, then the little fellow said, "Yes, I'll do it....if it'll save her...."

As the transfusion progressed, he lay in the bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing
the colour return to her cheeks.
But then..... after a while.....his face grew pale, and his smile faded.

He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die straight away?"

Being so young....he had misunderstood the doctor...he thought he had to give his sister ALL of his blood in order for her to be saved.
UNDERSTANDING AND ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!

THE SPECIAL MOTHER.....

Most women become mothers by choice.....a few by social pressures.....and a couple by habit!

There is a big probability that 100 000 women will become mothers of handicapped children.

HANDICAPPED CHILDREN ARE CHOSEN?

Somehow, try to visualize GOD, hovering over the earth, selecting His instruments for propagation with great care and deliberation.

As He observes, He instructs His angels to make notes in a giant ledger.

ARMSTRONG....BETH....son....(patron saint Mathew)

FOREST...MARJORY...daughter....( patron saint Cecelia)

RUTHERS....CARRIE.....twins.....( give her Gerard he's used to profanities)

Finally He passes a name to an angel and smiles..."Give her a handicapped child"

The angel is curious...."Why this one Lord? she's so happy..."

"Exactly" smiles God...."Could I give a handicapped child to a mother who does not know laughter?....that would be cruel!"

"But, does she have patience?" asks the angel.

God replies..."I don't want her to have too much patience, or she'll drown in a sea of self pity and despair. Once the shock and resentment wears off, she'll handle it. I watched her today, she has that sense of "self" and independence that are so rare and so necessary in a mother.
You see, the child I am going to give her, has his own world. She has to make it live in her world, and that's not going to be easy!"

"But, Lord, I don't even think she completely puts her trust in You..."

God smiles again...."No matter....I can fix that.....she's perfect....she has just enough selfishness...."
The angel gasps......."Selfishness.....is that a virtue...?" God nods...

"If she can't separate herself from her child occasionally, she'll never survive....yes.....here is a woman whom I will bless with a child that is less than perfect. She doesn't realize it yet, but she is to be envied!
She will never take for granted a spoken word.....
she will never consider a step.....ordinary.....
When her child says "Mummy" for the first time......she'll be witnessing a miracle.....and know it!

I will permit her to see clearly the things I see....cruelty.....prejudice.....
and I will allow her to rise above them....she will never be alone, I will be at her side every minute of every day of her life, because she is doing MY work as surely as if she's here, by My side..."

"And....what about her patron saint???" asked the angel.

God's pen poised in mid air.......He smiles.......

"A MIRROR WILL SUFFICE!"

Bless you....

PAPERS.....

One day, a teacher asked her class to list all the names of every student in their class. But, she asked them to leave a space between each name.
She also told them to write the nicest thing they could, about each student.
She collected the list at the end of the class period.

The teacher took the list home, and spent all weekend writing on seperate sheets, one for each student, what the others had written about them. On Monday, she handed out each student, his or her list.

Before long, the entire class was smiling...."Really?" she heard whisper.....and...."I never knew I meant anything to anyone...."and ...."I didn't know others liked me that much..." such were the comments she heard!

NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THOSE PAPERS IN CLASS AGAIN!

The teacher never found out whether they discussed them after class or even with their parents,
but that did not matter, the exercise had accomplished it's purpose.
The students were happy with themselves and with each other....that group of students moved on......

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Vietnam and his teacher attended the funeral of her special student.
She had never been to a military funeral before all the men looked so "handsome...."so mature!
The church was packed with his friends....the teacher was the last one to come by the coffin and, as she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her.
"Were you Mark's teacher?" he asked...She nodded, "Yes" Then he said, "Mark talked about you a lot"

After the funeral, most of Mark's former class mates went to a luncheon together.
His parents were there too, and waiting to speak to his teacher. "We want to show you something..." His father said. He took a wallet out of his pocket....."They found this on Mark when he was killed....thought you might recognize it..."

He carefully removed a piece of paper that had very obviously been folded and refolded many many times. The teacher knew, without looking, that it was the paper she'd listed with all the good things all his class mates had said about him.

"Thank you so much for doing that..." Mark's mother said, "As you can see, he treasured it..."

All of his former classmates gathered around and sheepishly admitted they still had theirs too.
Chuck's wife said, " Chuck asked me to tape it in our wedding album..."
"I have mine too, it's in my diary..."said Marilyn.
Then Vicky, another class mate said, " I carry this with me everywhere," and then, without batting an eyelid she said, "I think we all saved our list..."

That's when the teacher sat down and cried!

She cried for Mark and his friends, who would never see him again. We forget that life will end
for all of us...one day!
And....we don't know "when" that day will be!

And....we reap what we sow!
Bless you....

REMEMBER THE DUCK?

There was a young boy, visiting his grand parents on their farm.
He was given a slingshot to play with, out in the woods.

He practiced and practiced, but he could never hit the target and disappointed, he headed back
home to dinner.
As he was walking back....he saw his nanna's pet duck....and.....just on an impulse.....he let fly!!!

He hit the duck square on the head....and killed it!

He was shocked ....and grieved!
He panicked.....and hid the duck in the woodpile, but as he looked up....he saw his sister was watching. She had seen it all, but said nothing!

After lunch, his nan said, " Sally, let's wash the dishes...." but Sally said, " Nan, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen today, didn't you...Johnny?"
And then she whispered to him..."Remember the duck?"
So.....Johnny did the dishes...

Later, Pop asked if they wanted to go fishing?

Nan said, "Sorry, I need Sally to help me with the supper..."

Sally smiled sweetly and said, "Oh....Johnny told me he wants to help..." and again she whispered..."Remember the duck?"

Sally went fishing.....Johnny stayed home.

After several days of this, Johnny couldn't stand it any longer, he came to his Nanna and confessed that he had killed the duck.

She knelt down and gave him a hug....then said, " I know.....you see.....I was at my window and I saw the whole episode.... I love you and I forgave you straight away but, I was wondering how long you were going to let Sally make a slave of you?

Bless you...Yaddy

ARE YOU READY?

I write this to you not to scare you, but to get you to do what you should be doing already. What can you do? You can pray. All the so-called Christians who count prayer as not "doing anything" are in for an unpleasant surprise.

You can work on building your faith today. If you lack faith, ask Jesus for more. If you aren't seeing things, ask the Lord to open your eyes so that you may see things the way He sees things.

Everyone else's opinion is irrelevant and worthless. What our God the Father thinks is what matters - - not dime-a-dozen opinions. Those who do not see the way our Lord sees will pay the price for it. Our job is to align ourselves with Him, not the other way around. If we are his children, we will try to be more like Him everyday, which means we will work to obey His commands, we will work to be sensitive to His voice (when He says jump, we will ask "how high?").

No debate. Just obedience.

Visualize with me for a moment a morning in let's say, mid-April or even early-May when all the media outlets have huge bold headlines about some type of "unprecedented," "monumentally bad" events(s) taking the world by storm. Imagine that the headlines are so bad, that people en masse panic - - they basically just lose their minds.

Luke 21:34 - - "And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

Many are those who do not pray to be counted worthy of this escape, because they don't believe this escape from all these things that shall come to pass is coming. Their faith has them in the Tribulation. The Lord made a promise that these people don't believe He'll keep. I believe, do you?

Actually, it doesn't matter what comes my way. It doesn't matter if there's a Rapture or not. It doesn't matter if it happens Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, or Post-Trib. I have one answer for everything. It's the answer I always have. That answer is my Lord, Master, Savior Jesus Christ. It has not mattered what the changing situation has been because He has always delivered, and His promises have been rock solid. He bids us to come out onto the the stormy seas to walk above them with Him.

Prepare your mind today for the "shock and awe" day that is coming. People will lose their minds and panic. Why should you? Are you listening to the Lord's voice today? What is He telling you? Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. While fear stalks and slays men among you, why should you fear? Remember and believe the promises (Psalm 91).

Our Father said it, but do you believe it? We don't need to know "how" He does it. Don't try to figure out the "how" because that's God's department. You just need to "seek first the kingdom of God." Kick the middlemen out of your relationship with the King and get some one-on-one time with Him TODAY. Know him, but more importantly be known by Him (Matthew 7:22)

Again, the day I see coming will arrive as a shock. There will be no time to "brush up" on what it means to be "in Christ." Playing church for years will be exposed for the lie that it really is. Being the church will be vindicated.

Many, if not most, are going to get steamrolled by events that sit just over the horizon. Don't be one of them. It always has been and always be a "remnant," a few who "get it." Be one of the few that travel the narrow path that leads to life. On this narrow path you will not have the concern of the masses to comfort you. Instead you'll have the comfort of the God of eternity.

Time is short. Prepare for the escape, but also prepare to have your faith tested right up to the microsecond before it arrives. I am a nobody. I am the least of the servants of the most high God. This is my duty, my narrow niche that the Lord has assigned me for these days and these hours. My duty is to the Lord for YOU. My duty is to warn those who have ears to hear and eyes that see.
Understand how dearly and unimaginably you are loved by the King of Kings. He warns those he loves. Thus, you are not here by accident. He designed this message specifically for you at this precise moment in time. Now, what will you do with it?

Let's close with the following prayers:

"Father God, I know I need You because I am a sinner, but also know that I can never get to You on my own. There's nothing I can do on my own to make up for my sins; nothing I could do on my own to earn favor and forgiveness from You or to secure my place in Heaven when I die. The only thing I can do is to make a conscious decision that You sent Your one and only Son Jesus Christ, and that He came to this world for me. He took my sins upon Himself, was crucified in my place, died for me, and was resurrected so that I may live forever. I accept Him and His sacrifice, and desperately want to receive Your Son Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. When He conquered death for my sake He gave me access to You. Thank You for Your grace and Your mercy. Thank You for forgiving me and for sending the Holy Spirit to transform my life from this moment forward. I pray that You transform my life from this day forward and give me a heart and a mind that desires to not only get to know You, but to be with You as much as possible. Teach me how to live, and teach me how to share this message with others before it's too late for them. Amen."

"Dear Lord, I pray that you will not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Please think of me according to Your mercy and for Your goodness' sake, O Lord. Lord I turn from all of those sins that I committed and I ask for Your help in washing the memory and thoughts of that sin completely from my mind. Please restore me to faithful obedience to Your Word, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit anew, so that I may keep Your commands all the days of my life. Lord Jesus, I invite you into my heart anew today, and I ask forgiveness for all of my sin. Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins and for forgiving me of them through your shed blood for me on the cross. Please take away all the sinful 'old things' in my heart that defile me, and replace them with the 'good things' that you desire to grow in to my life. Please wash away all the sinful crud and tendencies toward evil and replace them with a hunger and thirst for your righteousness. I need your help, Lord God, in living this new life in Christ. Please send your Holy Spirit afresh into my life to help me, heal me, lead me and transform me. I also pray that your shed blood washes over me, protects me, and that I am counted worthy to escape the things that are coming upon this world in the form of your righteous judgment. Lastly, I pray that you have mercy on this nation even though we deserve your fierce judgment for our blatant sins that are before you. Help us to see the error in our ways as individuals and as a nation, and lead us to repentance before it's too late for us. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

god Bless

THE JET PILOT!

Hi, I'm a jet pilot. I teach young up coming pilots how to fly classified planes.
You've seen seen the movie "top gun?" Well, we do all that....and more....in half an hour.

Afterwards, the new young pilot usually needs help, to get out of the cockpit, as we do a lot of vertical flying and when we fly horizontal, it's maybe 500 yards above the ground over a desert somewhere. And the trouble with that is, none of the new young pilots "know" that that is coming!

Oh, they "thought" they knew...they had seen them being flown, they had flown planes, jets even....
but not "these" planes. They didn't even know how the seat they sat in, worked.

THEY WERE NOT PREPARED!

That was a shock to me.....the fact that they were not prepared!

Now, listen to what I think..... I don't know if you have realized this or not but we are living very close to the last days.
I know....... no one knows exactly when, but when the signs are very good to tell us it's close!
I deal with a lot of scientists and PHD's and I am appalled at what I'm seeing, both in the blindness of these men...and what they fear!

Their concern about the rapidity of the development of technology, 20 years ago, why most of the scientists of our world had a good handle on "where" we were going but today.....it's frightening them. WHY?

Because it's multiplying faster than any single group can stay ahead of. It takes advanced computers to stay ahead of what's happening today, and the rapidity of the advance of our science.
GOD said, "In the last days, there will be a great increase in travel and knowledge...
(Daniel Ch 12 end of chapter)
This story brought it home to me!

I was in a jet fighter, leaving my home base going to Townsville airport, only 8 minutes in this type of plane.
When I got over the base it was clouded in with weather, so I got hooked into the radar.

As I was about to make my approach, the radar controller changed voices and the senior controller came on and asked me how much fuel I had. I told him I had plenty!

The controller then said, "We'd like you to break off the approach, there's a smaller plane, up above the clouds, he's just about out of fuel, he's got no instruments, and he's terrified! You're the closest, could you go and intercept him?"
So I went back up and pulled up beside him. I think it was a "piper cherokee four seater" of some type...very small!

As I pulled up along side him, I got the frequencies right...... then I called him.

"Look to your left..." I said..... and he saw this beautiful modern jet fighter.....sitting there.....beside him....landing gear down......full flaps and everything but my arms out...to slow down to his maximum speed.......

he burst into tears!!!

I said to him...."I want you to do only one thing...I am going to pull in just ahead of you......you
are going to sit 100 yards behind me...and I want you to follow me!

If I turn.....you turn....I'll be gentle....I'll make sure I don't loose you.....
We'll get into the clouds....it will get a little hazy....BUT I WILL BE THERE.....

even if you think I'm not......You'll still see me.....will you do that?"

He was so emotional, he took a little time to reply, but I saw him nod in agreement.
And..... so he did!

He followed me exactly....when I turned...... he turned

when I took a left....he took a left....
we came back....came through the clouds.... and..... there was the run way right in front of us!

All those beautiful lights......

I can't tell you the emotions that man had, when he came up and embraced me, afterwards.

And it occured to me...."I PULLED UP ALONG SIDE SOMEBODY WHO WAS LOST"

and it also occurred to me...."I HAD THE WORDS OF LIFE IN MY HANDS"

That's the comparison that struck me!

So, I urge you my friend, go about the business of telling others of the greatest gift God has ever given to this world.....HIS SON....JESUS CHRIST!

Bless you...

Yaddy
