Weekly Bible study...

At our weekly Bible study... this year we started witrh Jesus healing the 10 lepers and only one came back to thank Him.
The discussion was that lepers in Jesus' time, were throw away people, as leprosy was so bad you just had to leave everything behind, and go else where, no one wanted to "know" you.

Now we did discuss other things besides what I want to mention here and now,.but.....

The main thing the leader brough out of the lesson was that we should bring our past messes to the front and use it as a message to others.
I do not always agree with that,.

My point being that I don't agree with the fact that we have to bring past mistakes and awful times
back to our present and go over it, all over again.

What's wrong with quietly forgetting the past, after having made restitution with God, and dwelling on it?

Not that I have not used things from the past to help others....I have....but
well.....I did not agree with her.....what do you think?
Was I wrong?

Blessings...

The sheep and the goats

In Mathew 25 we read the story of the sheep and the goats.....

You know....until now, it had not occured to me....once the people are assembled and seperated into the sheep and the goats....

IT IS TOO LATE!

In verse 32, of Chapter 25 we read...." All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the aheep on His right and the goats on his left....

Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat;
I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink;
I was a stranger, and you invited me in.......
naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.'

"Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You,
or thirsty, and give You something to drink?

'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?

When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'

"Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels,
for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;

I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.'

"Then they themselves also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?'

"Then He will answer them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'"These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Now I have often thought...."Who are "the least of these?" In the speaking to the sheep...He declares...'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'

So....BROTHERS ....that in my thoughts means other Christians...see...I had always thought they were unbelievers whom we needed to show the"Love of Christ" by helping them and feeding them...but the Bible also elsewhere tells us we are His brothers by adoption
so that then means we are to help and feed and look after our own believing brothers and sisters....
Hmmm...interesting yes?
Bless you...

It is well....with my soul!

When peace like a river attendeth my way....
when sorrows like sea billows roll
What ever my lot....Thou hast taught me to say...
"It is well....it is well.....with my soul!

Time has passed and they say time heals all wounds.
It may do so but very slow with some happenings.

My friends have decided to sell up and leave...
Too many memories and they are painful.
I can't really blame them...

But through all this....the above hymn is so true and right....
No matter what.....God is always there, whether we believe it or not...HE is there....his word says...
"I will never leave you nor forsake you" and I believe that!

"I need thee every hour...most gracious Lord....no tender voice like thine can peace afford

I need Thee....oh I need Thee.....
every hour I need Thee.
Oh bless me now my Saviour....I come to Thee!

Bless you...
