The story of Moses..

Do you all KNOW the story of Moses?

It goes all the way back to the first book in Exodus when the Pharaoh made the people of Israel slaves, because he thought they would raise up an army and fight the Egyptians and maybe over run them from their country, even though this was the last thought in the Israeli’s minds.

So, seeing the Israeli women had so many babies and a lot of boy babies, the Pharaoh decided they must all be killed. Moses mum had two other children already, a daughter Miriam and a son, who had not been killed, as not all the boys were killed because the midwives told the Pharaoh, the Jewish women gave birth so quick, they hardly needed the midwifes to come and help them.
(Ex: 1 v 19: The midwives said to Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife can get to them.")

Moses’ mum decided she would try and save her son, so she made a basket and set him adrift on the river Nile. She told her daughter Miriam, to keep an eye on the basket, and see what would happen.

Miriam did as she was told and saw that the royal princess, Pharaoh’s daughter, saw the basket, got one of her servants to fish it out of the river, and just then…..Miriam showed herself and offered to the princess that she knew a woman who could look after the baby till he was old enough to be weaned….And that is what happened. Miriam fetched her mother…
Who was only too happy to feed and rear her own son, even though the princess did not KNOW this was her son.

So Miriam and her mother took little Moses home again. And….she got paid for doing it!
We read in Hebrew ch  11 verses 23-25

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king's edict.

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,…etc…

(and continue reading in the book of Hebrews)

Now….here is what I am getting at……the Bible does not say how old Moses was when his mother took him back to the princess in the Pagan palace of the pharaoh.
When he was weaned….( not very old….right?)

But, as we just read in the book of Hebrews……
BY FAITH…..Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter…….

How much….do you think……must his parents have taught him all about “the word” as they knew it?

What does this say to our world today?

I have heard so many parents say….”Oh, I will leave it up to the teachers, to teach my child all he/she needs to know!”

That is completely wrong….it is not up to the teachers to teach your child everything! They are only there to educate them, so they can learn to read and write and learn how to handle the reading and writing.

According to the Bible….it is up to the parents to teach the children all they can about all they want their child to learn…

Remember…when you have a new born baby….you start off with virtually an empty mind that you want to fill with whatever YOU want to fill it with….
As a parent it is your responsibility, what goes into that new little Mind…
This is what the Bible says!

And….. according to what we read in the Bible….Moses’ parents did a bonzer job…..

“By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,…”

Layman's 10 commandments.

(Someone has written these beautiful words. Must read and try to understand the deep meaning of it. They are like the ten commandments to follow in life all the time.)

1]
Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.

2]
A Car's WINDSHIELD is so large & the Rear view Mirror is so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, Look Ahead and Move on.

3]
Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

4]
All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.

5]
Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!

6]
Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!

7]
When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.

8]
A blind person asked St. Anthony: "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes, losing your vision!"

9]
When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10]
WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES, it takes away today's PEACE.

Bless you....

NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD......

As a bitter cold breeze blasts away on a mother of three as she trudges through snow ...her strength is only the sheer resolve to do whatever it takes to "be there" for her girls. The symptoms started slow but the coughing grew deeper and the fever higher...she knew she had to get them to "hope". But it seems thousands will be infected ... it's hopeless" "How did it happen, Doctor?" “?Some virus…who knows”

Mummy, my feet are so cold" the little girl cried, "I know honey”? Trying to be strong but scared to death, the mother cries "Oh God please Help"

Another town but an even more desperate situation eternity at stake...

"Pastor; attendance is down; giving is down, what are we going to do?" The Board member continues, "Families are hurting, we've have two families that are about to lose their homes, another three families on the verge of divorce, changes need to be made, but where do we start?"Across town, a desperate father....
His eyes glazed over, gun in one hand a stiff drink in the other....holding a picture up of his kids, tears streaming down his cheeks, "Every other weekend; are your stinking kidding me?" Hopelessness invading his thoughts, "it will never be the same" raising the gun to his forehead he cries out "OH GOD, PLEASE FORGIVE ME"

Divorce, drugs, layoffs, crime, selfish lives all going astray ...spreading like wildfire with no end in sight.

But.....kneeling at the altar, a faithful servant of God begins to cry, "Father, Your word promises that if we ask, seek and knock; that You will open the door, Lord, before you call me home, I'm here asking for this one thing that You have laid upon my heart...Will You pour out your Spirit upon this area and all these people that I know and Love. Will you arise and cause all your enemies to scatter? Father, Your Word says No one comes to You unless You draw them and Father that is what I'm asking ....will you please begin to draw all men unto Yourself right here in this town, right here in this Church?"

"Doctor, Doctor” a nurse shouted, “Something amazing is happening!" "What?” The Doctor replied.
“?There's a man… who has come into our Emergency Room" "What is wrong with Him?” "Nothing, he said he's is here to help" "HELP…Help how?" "He wants to donate blood, and get this...He said he had heard of the virus that was spreading and that he believed his blood was immune. We tested his Blood and he was right, there is something about his Blood that is overcoming the virus. Just one drop is all it takes, it will help thousands"

Putting the Gun down back at his side and lifting back up the picture...God began to answer this desperate Father's plea.....a knock at the door sobered him alert.. "Herb, it's me Jim...I know you’re in there? Can I come in?" As the door opened, "Herb, God has laid you on my heart and I just had to come over and share...I've got some great news... My wife and I have been talking with your wife and she has agreed to counselling...she has agreed to postpone the divorce"Sitting in his study at Home, a Pastor puts down his pad of notes...getting on his knees, he starts to pray, "Dear God, what is it that you want to say?" The floodgates of tears poured down his cheek as He heard these Words "What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus" The Pastor recognizing that something was happening, heard that still small voice........
"What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus."

A spark from yesteryear began to arise, he'd seen this before. Jesus was asking to take His rightful place..."If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto myself"

Many today are facing desperate situations of all kinds. If you’re one who is facing such a time I have great news for you. Jesus Christ has promised no matter what your situation is, no matter how bad it looks or how lost you are, whosoever believes upon Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!! That is how powerful His blood is!
