Revival....maybe??

I have heard some pastors say, that it would be great, if we had a revival......

now for pastors, that is a totally wrong thing to say, as they should know better.

I have also heard congregants say it, and that, I understand, but lets look at what our Lord said,:

Mathew 10 v 14-15 "Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city."

There was no inkling of a revival going on in those 2 cities, they were living it up, doing all the despicable things they were always doing.

Even when the 2 angels came to visit Lot, the men of these cities wanted to “do” these things with them, as they had always done, with each other! No revival there!

Gen 18 v 20: And the LORD said, “The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave. 21 I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

And this is where Abraham begs the Lord to save the cities, if there are just 10 people there? And the Lord said He would, if there were 10 people there, but there were not!

So, no revival there either

Mathew 24 v 37-39: "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be."

The same here, these people had a chance to listen to Noah for at least 75 years, link here

Yet, there was no revival...... we read in
Genesis Ch 6 v 11 Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. It states ”all flesh” there were just eight people saved,

no revival there....

Jude 1 v 7:"Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire." That was the reward they received for their life style

I hope and pray, people will wake up to the fact that there will not be a revival, and the Lord will come soon, "AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT" for His bride, so while there is still time, accept Christ as your saviour, repent and believe that Jesus died for you, like the thief on the cross did
Blessings
Yaddy
