Around 1999, a Chicago businessman called, said that he had listened to
Hells Best Kept Secret. here and asked if I would like to take a team to Israel.
He would cover the cost, if I would do a little teaching on the side.
Fast forward a few months.
I was in a large tour bus on the way back to Jerusalem after visiting Jericho.
While the rest of the passengers were in the back of the bus chatting, I was like a wide-eyed little kid, up the front on the right side with my nose up against the window.
I could see across a massive valley thousands of feet below. Perhaps I was looking at the very spot where the Good Samaritan helped the beaten stranger.
Suddenly the bus was over the edge of the three thousand foot cliff
I was so terrified I couldn't even draw a breath.
I was a dead man.
We were all dead!
Life was over!
Just as suddenly........
the bus turned left...... and we were moseying along the road as though nothing had happened.
But it had.
I had been as good as dead..... and returned from the grave.
You see......
To turn left on the road, the driver had swung the large bus right first to accommodate the sharp corner, putting the front right side over the massive cliff edge while the rest of the bus remained safely on the road.
I looked at the rest of the passengers who were still chatting down the back of the bus.
Everyone was oblivious to the fact that I had died and come back to life in a matter of seconds.
I can't adequately express how I exploded with gratitude to God that I was still in the land of the living.
Six months before my conversion to Jesus Christ I found myself over a deep and dark chasm. With all my success as a young businessman, I had the breath-taking and terrifying revelation that it was just a matter of time until death swallowed me, and I was utterly helpless and hopeless. Suddenly, life took a radical turn. I was born again, moseying along on the straight and narrow knowing that I had everlasting life! God rescued me from death itself through the power of the everlasting gospel.
Link here
And so I'm no stranger to tears of gratitude. It's the everlasting high octane fuel that motivates me to reach the lost.
No words can express my gratitude that God saved me from the valley of the shadow of death. What I can't put into words, I put into works.

Breaching the wall!
“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the son of man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the flood came and took them all away.” Matthew 24: 37-39
Mark this day on your calendars – and mourn – for it is a day from which there is no turning back.
It can be no coincidence that the landmark decision to approve same-sex marriage in all 50 states was publicly announced on June 26,
the 9th of Tammuz.
The millennia old Judeo-Christian concept of marriage between one man and one woman giving away to the collective “wisdom” of 5 individuals – who call themselves supreme. In one day, the bedrock of society, the family structure as set apart by God and nature has been swept away. And, the repercussions couldn’t be bigger.
Why is the date of Tammuz 9 important?
On Tammuz 9, 423 BC, Nebuchadnezzar’s troops breached the walls of old Jerusalem and entered the city. Four weeks later on Av 9, the Holy temple was destroyed and the Jews were exiled to Babylon. Likewise, in 70 AD, the walls of Jerusalem were breached not on Tammuz 9 but eight days later on Tammuz 17 and the second temple was destroyed once again on Av 9 – the same date as the first..
Keep these dates in mind for they are critical to the timing of what may be ahead.
If you follow Bible prophecy at all, you are probably aware that the United States (and, the world for that matter) have been courting God’s judgment for some time. And, many of us have wondered how much longer the Lord would stay his hand before bringing about the justice and judgment that we so much deserve. Well, we need wonder no longer – that day has arrived. Like dominoes set to fall – Tammuz 9 is the first in line to go. Which is fitting as 9 in the Bible is the number of completeness or finality.

Something is coming!!!
The United States is hurtling towards severe trouble, and the events of the past few months — and what may be coming over the next few months — grieves me a great deal.
Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we all must be ready in every possible way.
Consider where we are in the summer of 2015:
Violence is exploding in our cities, schools and churches. The horrific mass murder inside the church in Charleston would be bad enough if it wasn’t just one of innumerable mass killings that have become epidemic in America.
Racism is tearing us apart, and it appears things are getting worse, not better.
The Supreme Court is poised to rule any day now on the definition and future of marriage — and if the Court rules against Biblical marriage I believe this could cause the Lord’s hand to turn against our country in a severe and profound way according to the moral laws found in Romans chapter one.
Abortions are occurring at more than one million in year and have put America on the fast track to judgment. Since 1973, Americans have murdered 57 million children through abortions. The blood of 57 million babies is crying out for justice, and they will get it in God’s sovereign timing. Could that be soon?
If all this wasn’t bad enough, marriages and families are imploding all around us. Poverty is growing. Drug and alcohol use is epidemic. And that’s just here at home.
Abroad, Iran is closing in on The Bomb.
ISIS is exploding across the Middle East, and gaining ground in Syria, Iraq and Libya.
The Kremlin is growing more aggressive.
Yet our politicians continue to bicker, stall, or golf, even as many abdicate their Constitutional responsibilities.
And many Americans have little or no hope for the future, have little confidence in government, little confidence in the media or academia, and far too little confidence in the Church. Indeed, many see little or no reason to go to church, and are drifting from whatever faith they might have once had in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Not all is lost. There are many Americans who love Christ dearly and love His Word and are seeking every day to walk with the Lord and love their neighbors and care for the poor and make the good news of God’s redeeming love known to their lost and drifting nation.
But warnings signs are flashing everywhere. Alarm bells are ringing everywhere. Far too many self-professed Christians are groggy or asleep, and we need a wake up call.
So, is America heading for implosion, or revival?
Right now, I see a case for either. But here’s an interesting update. Thousands of Southern Baptist pastors and lay leaders gathered in Columbus, Ohio, this past week for their annual convention. But this was not business as usual. They gathered to do some serious soul searching.
The good news: the SBC is planting new churches all over America and the number of SBC churches is growing, rising from 46,000 to more than 51,000.
The bad news: these churches are doing less evangelism, seeing fewer people receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and seeing fewer people baptized than at any time in the past 67 years.
Now, I have to admit, normally I don’t follow what’s happening at the annual Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) meetings. I’m not a Southern Baptist. I was raised in New York State by a wayward Orthodox Jewish father and a wayward Methodist mother — wayward, that is, until both my parents became born again as deeply devoted followers of Jesus Christ in 1973 during the height of the “Jesus Movement.”
But since the election of Pastor Ronnie Floyd as SBC president last June, I have started paying close attention. Indeed, I have been deeply moved to see where Pastor Floyd and the SBC are heading. He has spent the last year tirelessly crisscrossing America and the globe urging Baptist pastors and lay people to become more serious and passionate about preaching, teaching and obeying the Word of God, preaching the Gospel to all nations (including Israel and the Muslim world), fulfilling the Great Commission, and pleading with the Lord to revive His Church and give us a Third Great Awakening.
Pastor Floyd has reached out to many pastors and ministry leaders outside of the SBC, as well. He invited me to preach at his congregation in northwest Arkansas last November. We have met and spoken by phone and email numerous times since, including in Israel earlier this year. I couldn’t be more grateful that the Lord has raised Pastor Floyd up at this hour. What’s more, I pray that the Holy Spirit moves powerfully through him — and pastors like him — to wake up the sluggish Protestant church in America and around the world and call us humbly to serve our Lord Jesus Christ without reservation.
This week, Pastor Floyd delivered a critically important and deeply moving message to the SBC convention. This morning, I read the full text, and then watched the video. It was so good, so clear, so strong, that I strongly recommend you read and/or watch the message. Please also share it with others — with everyone you know. Later this week, I will post some key excerpts that were important to me. But for now I just want to make you aware of the message.

As it was in the days of Noah!
Gen 25 v 25-32
25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.
26 Then Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years after he became the father of Lamech, and he had other sons and daughters.
27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
(Adam had been dead 126 years when Noah was born, but his father, Lamech, was 56 years old when Adam died....so he spoke directly to Adam and heard all that he could from Adam, as to how he walked with God in the garden and how good it was before they disobeyed God.)
Lamech, Noah’s father, was one hundred and sixty years old, when Seth, the son of Adam died.
28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son.
29 Now he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the Lord has cursed.”
30 Then Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years after he became the father of Noah, and he had other sons and daughters.
31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.
32 Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
So, Lamech, in naming Noah, recognized that God would preserve man through Noah!
Lamech did have other sons and daughters, but they perished in the Flood, although their father, Lamech, and brother, Noah, believed God,
they did not.
In Gen ch 5 we read that Noah was 84 years old when Enos died,
179 years old when Cainan died,
234 years old when Mahalaleel died,
366 years old when Jared died,
595 years old when Lamech died, and
600 years old when Methuselah died
.
We can see from this that Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah, all lived on the earth at roughly the same time, and that Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Methuselah, and Lamech, were all acquainted with both Adam and Noah.
Moses further informs us that Seth lived 807 years after he begat Enos, making him 912 years old at his death (Gen 5:7-8).
And Enos lived 815 years after he begat Cainan, making him 905 years old when he died (5:10-11).
And Cainan lived 840 years after he begat Mahalaleel, making him 910 years old at his death (5:13-14).
And Mahalaleel lived 830 years after he begat Jared, making him 895 years old when he died (5:16-17).
And Jared lived 800 years after he begat Enoch, making him 962 years old at his death (5:19-20).
And Enoch walked with God 300 years after he begat Methuselah, making him 365 years old when he was translated (5:22-23).
And Methuselah lived 782 years after he begat Lamech, making him 969 years old when he died (5:26-27).
Lamech lived 595 years after he begat Noah, making him 777 years old when he died (5:30-31)
But Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.
The World Was Wicked, Corrupt, and Violent - The Bible tells us that God looked upon the world in Noah’s day and saw corruption, violence, and wickedness (Genesis 6:11). In fact, humans were so wicked, they continuously thought of nothing but evil (Genesis 6:5).
We read in other parts that at that time, the sons of men sowed the ground, and hardly any food was produced, yet the sons of men did not turn from their evil ways, and they trespassed and rebelled against God.
And all the sons of men departed from the ways of the Lord in those days as they multiplied upon the face of the earth with sons and daughters, and they taught one another their evil practices and they continued sinning against the Lord.
But NOAH walked with God!
And every man made unto himself a god, and they robbed and plundered every man his neighbour as well as his relative, and they corrupted the earth, and the earth was filled with violence.
And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals.
The World Was Ignorant of What Was About to Happen - Also in those days, the people of the world lived unaware of the judgment about to take place.
In fact, according to Jesus, people lived normal lives right up until the moment of their own destruction. They ate. They drank, and they hosted parties. And the entire time, they remained ignorant of what was just around the corner - oblivious to the coming flood.
Gen 7 v 11:In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.
And from this we know that the grounds of the earth changed forever.....The mountains rose and there were chasms in the sea, there was a complete change in all the earth.
We read in Chapter 8 that the water receded, that would mean, it drained into the chasms that were caused by the fountains of the deep opening up, giving it space to recede into!
Slivers of land sliding into the ocean, it must have been horrific!
Noah and His Family Knew What Would Happen - But unlike the rest of the world, Noah and his family knew all about the flood and prepared themselves for it.
How did they know?
Because God told them. He flat out told Noah He would destroy every living creature and wipe out everyone but Noah and his family (Genesis 6:13). Because NOAH WALKED WITH GOD!
4) Noah and His Family Were Saved - It wasn’t luck that saved Noah and his family. God saved them on purpose. Why? The Bible tells us because “Noah found favour with God” (Genesis 6:8). And the reason he found favour is because Noah was the only blameless person on earth - a man who walked in close fellowship with God (Genesis 6:9).
There was no war.......just people, who did what was right in their own eyes.
That would have caused strife amongst them, but no war!
Just a lot of fighting amongst themselves most likely!
I have heard people say, Noah must have felt stupid, building a giant boat in the middle of nowhere, and how the people who lived there must have laughed at him. but the Bible states clearly that “Noah walked with God” so he was not just imagining that maybe he heard from God, he knew..... he walked with God..... he was intimate with God....had conversations with God....
We know Moses was God's friend, Abraham was very close to God.....there was no doubt in their minds, when God said something they knew it was God who said it, no doubts, like we have....
(So is there geologic evidence of an earlier supercontinent, which broke apart and its fragments subsequently collided and coalesced together to form Pangaea, which then broke apart into today’s continents that sprinted into their present positions? Yes! This earlier supercontinent, which was thus likely Noah’s lost world, has been called Rodinia (from the Russian word rodina, meaning “The Motherland” according to Wikipedia).

YOU DON'T HAVE TO WEAR OUT........
The greatest temptation from the enemy of our souls........
is in our minds.
This is where he loves to attack us most,
or should I say,............. even torment us.
It is in our minds that he brings thoughts of doubt, deception, despondency, rejection, anger, self-pity, and even despair.
If we are not aware of his tactics and do not resist them, they will become bigger in our minds and he wins the victory.
I noticed an interesting Scripture in Daniel 7:25.
It speaks about the coming anti-Christ (but this same spirit is already in the world) and it says:" He shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High."
The words "wear out" in the Hebrew mean "to afflict mentally." These words are only used in a mental sense.
This is Satan's strategy. To wear us out in our minds with unbelieving and deceiving thoughts.
If you are in confusion and overwhelmed in your mind, you can't function emotionally or physically.
Therefore, you must be on the alert. You don't have to let the enemy wear you out!
This is not God's plan.
You can't stop these thoughts coming to your mind, but you don't have to receive them!
You don't have to dwell on them for one minute!
Resist them in the name of Jesus.
Throw them out of your mind.
They don't belong in your redeemed mind.
1 Peter 1:13 says: "Gird up the loins of your mind."
In Bible days the men wore long tunics and when doing physical exercise pulled up their tunic and tucked it in their belt so they would not be hindered. In the same way, we have to get rid of any thoughts in our minds that hinder us from walking in the victory which Jesus Christ paid the price on the cross to give us.
And be encouraged again today with 2 Corinthians 5:4, 5:"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity EVERY THOUGHT to the obedience of Christ."
May you have a victorious day triumphing over the wiles of the devil. You do not have to let him wear you out.

is in our minds.

The fool says in his heart, there is no God...Psalm 14 v 1:
Why do atheists get so mad with people who, they say, believe in a god that, according to them, does not exist?
I have watched some of them and they are absolutely furious, with people who say there that there is a God, and they believe in Him!
My brother for instance.....he keeps telling every body, and especially us, his siblings, that he is agnostic....( not an atheist) still....what’s in a name?
If he does not believe in GOD, the creator of heaven and earth, it does not matter what name he gives his beliefs.....
he is still an un-believer and is lost!
It is almost like some one else I know!
This young man, hates me....he absolutely loathes me....and.....
He pretends I do not exist...truly!!!!
But every so often, I happen to be where he is too...
He continues to ignore me, but he knows I am there.....sometimes....just sometimes...he will give me a nod.....wow!
But, as he has to acknowledge......I am there....whether he believes it or not....I am there!
Now, not that I am comparing me with anything religious but, it seems to me, this is almost the same as what
atheists....agnostics......unbelievers....non Christians do!
They pretend incredibly hard...that GOD does not exist......but
every so often....He shows up in “something” and they then have to acknowledge that....”Yes, there is “something”
They feel uncomfortable for that time, until they leave....then get on with life as per usual....so they think.
Well......
no matter how hard they try to pretend....or ignore....or not believe.....
GOD IS THERE!
And....when they come to the end of their life.....and “Pass over” as they popularly say, nowadays....( Beats me why they are not game anymore to say “they died?”)
and then.......they have to front.......... GOD!
Blessings...
